We’re counting down the days to the launch of our first, proper single release ‘Arthur Lowe’ on strictly limited seven inch vinyl, through Midnight Bell Records.
It’s a split release with our friends Walk Upright, and we’ll both be launching it with a free gig on Friday 20th February at Flashback Records’ Shoreditch store, in Bethnal Green Road.
We’ll be selling copies there of course, but if you can’t make it, you can pre-order a copy from the Midnight Bell webshop and they’ll post it to you when it’s released.
Look! The pressings of our debut 7″ single have arrived from the plant in Germany, and we think they look beautiful! It’s a split single with our friends Walk Upright; our side is the nonsense song Arthur Lowe (twice in a row, as it’s only a short track).
The single comes out in February, more details coming soon.
We’re pleased to be supporting Firestations on 4th December, as they launch their new album NEVER CLOSER.
£6 advance, £7 on the door, and entry includes an album* download.
(*Their album of course- we haven’t finished ours yet).
Hello to anyone who might have found us via Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music Mixtape or via Fresh On The Net.
We’re honoured and flattered to have been picked out as a fave by Tom, who says some kind words about us here.
If you’re new to us, you might not know that we’ve recorded three cassette EPs since forming last year- you can listen to the full length tracks for free on Bandcamp, and download them to keep for less than a quid each. There might even still be some of the limited edition tapes left for sale.
Our first proper release is being pressed in Hamburg at the moment, it’s a split seven inch with our friends Walk Upright. Our side features our nonsense song ‘Arthur Lowe’. Twice. Because it’s only short, and we wanted you to get your money’s worth. It’ll be out in the New Year, details to follow.
Our new limited edition EP is available to buy and to download NOW!
Our third cassette EP, ‘For Boys With One Track Minds’ is available on limited edition cassette and digital download now.
There are (very few) cassette copies left, with a free limited edition badge, and free postage and packing in the UK.
This is the third and last of our homemade cassette EPs, following 2013’s ‘…are’ and 2014’s ‘Those Men’. Our first vinyl 7″ single, ‘Arthur Lowe’, will be out in February next year.
On Saturday 26th July we play the sticky floored, indie Valhalla that is Camden Town’s Dublin Castle.
You should come, it will be ace.
Here’s a nice flyer that you can print off and use to beautify your flat; if you bring it on the night tickets are only £5 on the door. We’ll be on a little after 9pm.
We’ve got new gig dates lined up, new videos and recordings in the pipeline, we’re very excited and can’t wait to spill the beans. In the meantime though, why not come down to see us in Hackney’s Victoria Park this Sunday? We’re on the bandstand at 6pm- it’s free.
It’s been a little while since our last update here, as we work hard behind the scenes to make UnLondon a reality. You can find the latest at www.unlondon.org, where you can also reserve tickets- though thanks to an overwhelming response we’re very close to total capacity.
Meanwhile, we’re pleased to announce that our second EP, ‘Those Men’ will be available to buy on limited edition cassette tape (with digital download code) at UnLondon, and as a digital download only from Bandcamp from the 25th January.
After much procrastination, we’ve finally got round to sticking up a website. You’re on it- it’s this.
On it you’ll find details of our forthcoming gigs, music you can listen to, videos you can watch, as well as general mitherings and links to things that interest us, and which we think may interest you also.
