Our debut album is out now!

Our debut album, Nothing Isn’t Beautiful, is available for digital download now from our Bandcamp, as well as from iTunes, Amazon Music and all of those sort of places. The limited edition of CDs sold out immediately, but fear not! A second limited pressing (with slightly different artwork) is on its way, and will be available from Monday 3rd July.

You can also grab a copy from us at the end of June when we play in Leipzig (Fri 30th June) and Berlin (Sat 1st July). We don’t know any more about these gigs yet, but will announce full details when we do!

Our debut LP, “Nothing Isn’t Beautiful”, is out 19th May

We’re excited to say that our debut album is out on Friday 19th May, and we’ll be releasing it with a gig at London’s Betsey Trotwood that night. We’ll be joined by our friends Young Romance, Mondrian and Firestations; it’s going to be a great night! Tickets will be available on the door for £7, or you can click here to book in advance for just £5 (plus 57p booking fee).

The album will be available from our Bandcamp and all the usual download sites, we’ll also have a small number of hand-packaged CDs for sale, with screen-printed sleeves and illustrated lyric booklets.

If you can’t make it down to the gig, we’ll be keeping a few aside for mail order from our shop. You can pre-order now, and we’ll send them out on the 19th- you’ll get an immediate digital download when you order.

Tracks from the album have been getting some advance airplay and some nice praise from BBC 6Music DJs, including Gideon Coe and Jon Hillcock. As a sample of what’s to come, we’d like to offer you a free download of “The Café at Golders Green” for free and gratis.

A Christmas gift from us

It’s been a bit of a year. Today’s not the day to be retracing the specifics, but we’re sure we can’t be the only ones who can’t stop looking back just yet. Too much has happened.

While it’s been happening, the four of us have been writing, playing and trying to make sense of everything together. And we wanted you to hear some of what we’ve made, while it’s still fresh.

So here it is: Smiley, our Christmas present to you. We wrote it over the summer, first played it in Germany in August in front of our European friends, and recorded it in Ben’s bedroom at the start of this month, with the help of the wonderful Tom Hatfield. It feels like a reflection of how we’ve felt this past year – still raw and angry and confused – but it means a lot to us all. We hope it might mean something to you too.

Please listen, watch Seb’s video and, if you like it, please share.

Merry Christmas from Those Unfortunates
